count the entries[8D]

I was thinking along the lines of doing a "pre tournament" from feb 1 - june 30. Let everyone get their spawn. North and South division. Everyone can enter their two biggest bass from feb - june, and the top 4 in each divison will get a seeding based on total weight. You have one month to fish "1 on 1" against the person your seeded with. The winner will move on. Another month to fish that bracket. The winner wil advance to the finals. We'll have the finals in October - the northern bass will be fattening up for winter, and the southern bass will still be in an offshore pattern - that should even out the northern/southern debate a bit. I likely wont fish since I will be moving back to WV in the summer.

yup. post all you can. the day after the deadline, I'll tally up everyones entry's and weight. We can go on the honor system, or post the fish laying on a legnth board. For the bracket tournaments, I think we should require a time stamp in all photos.

I'm not sure how to do that..I'm slightly mentally retarded concerning digital equipment. BUT..I could make up a small white board with a date on it , and hold it in front of the fish.c7...I could also write the date on the hand that I would be holding up the fish with .;)

That will work. Just so we know the fish are from the current 1 month period. I'm not even worried about getting the poster in the picture. Makes it much easier and stress free on the fish to be able to lay it down on the measuring board and snap a pic, rather than trying to find someone to take the pic, or holding the fish out of water the extra time it takes in case you dont get all of you in the pic. I usually end up fishing alone, and prefer too because its easier to control the boat for just me, rather than worrying about getting the back seater into casting position as well. Unless my g/f accompanies me, but she's is usually there just for the sun and the boat ride, and I dont get too serious with the fishing.

Josh..you may want to consider making your final month in August. Sept. and October in most states is bowhunting time.Just a thought.

Thats why I was giving the whole month to fish. Plus, up north, October is one of the best times to catch a giant bass - Which should even out the north/south factor.

gotta also realize that the october tournament will only be the top 2 guys going for the championship of the world;)

We can always move the dates. I just figured October would be a little more friendly for the northern guys.
