The classic is the red and white daredevel but Pike are not fussy. Just about any Lure that catchs Bass, (which are trash up here where the Walleye is king) will catch Pike as well. Mepps Spinners, Original Rapalas in the No. 18 size and Husky Jerks all work well.

Ahh.....next to Lakers, my favourite fish to catch. Like the others have said, pike aren't very picky most of the time. Like James said, the red/white Daredevil (knock-off's work just as good), five-of-diamonds work good too (what I call'em, forget the actual name). Then safety-pin style spinnerbaits are always good, especially with a power grub as a trailer. Also, a long (6'-7') powerbait or sluggo will also work wonders most of the time. Don't make fun of me, but if you cut a broom handle, paint'er up red and white and add some hooks, you got yourself a pretty good impression of a Zora Spook. Usually though, I try not to use Rapala's, Bombers, etc as when a 10 pound pike's thrashing around in the bottom of the canoe, I find one hook is enough trouble. The other reason is I've had a lot of pike suck'em deep, and then that just turns out to be a mess. Hope this helps in the slightest,

Chatreuse and orange spinner baits work really well on Champlain. Just find the weeds and start chucking and they will come. Red and white daredevil is the standard though. No pike anywhere can resist them for some reason. If I had to have one lure in any unknown lake it would be the old red and white. That is all I used as a kid and caught everything from trout, walleyes northerns and bass on them.
