RE: Pike lures???

Here's one of my favorite tricks for Northern Pike...

Take a 1/2 ounce Rattletrap and remove the rear hook, but leave the split ring attached.

Now attach a tiny snap-swivel to the rear split-ring.

Attach a small colorado or willow leaf blade to the swivel.

Upsize the front hook to a slightly larger size.

The Pike love it, and you will too.

Around here they favor chrome rattletraps and firetiger is always a big smash hit.

I've caught most of my pike trolling a white spinnerbait (terminator). I've also caught them casting spoons and smaller in-line spinners. I'd go with spinners since you can catch bass with them too. Just make sure to invest in some good wire leaders when pike fishing!!!

my personal favorite is a plain silver spoon or johnson silver (or gold) minnows. Another great lure is a green spinnerbait

In my experience, something white usually is best for pike. Red doesnt hurt either. My favorite lure is a spinnerbait (medium size). Sometimes topwaters will work such as a zara spook in white and red, or a buzzbait.
