Default Some Peope......

Some people kill me

Today I fished a section of river that for the most part is the only game in townduring winter to catch any good fish. I didnt so much as get a bite, so my mind started to wonder back to the days when there were few guys fishing hereand the fishing was good. It was a small group of guys maybe 5 or 6, who would put enuf time in to catch some real numbers of steehead. We all released the steelhead, browns, and other trout we caught, the only fish we would keep were the few coho salmon we wouldcome across.h

Over the past few years the word hasspread and the place has become more popular. Guys started keepingall kinds of fish andthe fishing got slow, nowthe fishing is only good for a few weeks a year. This kills me because the same guys who keep everything they catch are the first to complain about the fishing.Thay just cant see that a river like this willonly have X amount of fish run it in a year and that is it, once they are gone they are gone for a hole season.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW[:@]

Guss,

This was the reason I chose to go to college here. My army chaplain told me of a great place to live if you like to fish ..Lakeland I'm sorry for your dilemma .I'm in the same dilemma regarding hunting. I have to drive a long ways to hunt .This year 1020 miles. I haveover 100lakes within 10 miles away ....and the Gulf of Mexico within 40.

Here is the funny thing Chuck, I can't wait for Walleye season, but I dont even fish for walleye (1 time a year maybe). The reason I love walleye season so much is that it opens up so much water for guys and alot of people love it, so I can once again be alone on my trout waters.

They are dang good, and I wouldnt turn them down if some on gave them to me, they just lack in the fighting department so I find my kicks else were.
