I just take a small rubber band, tie and overhand knot over the line, and trim the rest close.

That would probably work great because it would slide easily. Not only that...you would n't have to strip your line to put the bobber stop on. Chuck7 |

The only problem I had with the rubber bands is they get caught in the guides and move from cast to cast.
I forgot about electrical tape, from what I can remember it works well. |

Thanks for the warning..not only that I kind of stocked up on the bobber stops from Wally World. I usually stock up when I buy supplies.:)
