I have a house just across the Wisconsin border that I have been fishing since I was a little kid(30 years ago). I have gotten so custom to catching the usual blue gills, crappie and carp that I never realized that the large mouth population has improved so much. I have caught the ocassional baby but nothing worth anything. I have been out the last two weekend in a row and gotten myself 3 nice ones. Got a 20" 4lbs & 15" 3lbs today and a 12" 2lbs lastweekend!Hope that fishing is improving in the area for everyone.

welcome jfergus7, sounds like it was some pretty decent fishing, seems like bodies of water go thru cycles really good years then a few poor years[&o], enjoy it while its good, and before the water gets hard
, dont want to rub it in but we can pretty much bass fish here year round, i have had to bust the ice out of my guides, but hey if your catchin a few every now and then its worth the effort
