Catfishing is huge around here on the Mississippi River. Alot of commercial fisherman too. Last one i caught was a 7 lb channel cat i snagged in the tail with a crankbait. fought like the dickens. I've caught some channels that've gone 10 or 15 lbs. decent ones i guess.

i got into catfishing a good bit when i could....never got the chance to go hardcore after the bigguns...i work to dang much over the summers.....but have caught a few nice ones for here...well...not really....probably 10-15lb channel and flathead...the flat was longer...but the channel was FAT....but our state records are REALLY low...28ish for the channel and 34? for the flathead....but ive heard of 80+ers flatheads winding up dead on the banks of the ohio river.....cant wait...one day i want to get serious and crush that flathead record...i knooooooow theres much bigger out there.......

Them some nice flatheads. We do a decent amount up here in VA. Got some nice blues on the James River and some pretty good channels on the Potomac.
