Anyone besides myself do much fishing there?

I have never been there but I am thinking of looking into the area as a retirement location. I want to be close to decent fishing and hunting and my wife does not want to leave the NE. If you could live near the lake where would you locate?

The north section of Lake anna would be where i would buy or build a house( north anna . pomunkey creek, christofers run) Lake gaston, Bugs Island and Kerr Resevior are also very nice but that is south Va and North Carolina. Great fishing in all the areas i listed.
