This is a followup to a previous thread I made which I cant seem to find (I wanted to post a link for reference)
I have 25 year old Browning BPS which serial number is way out of date, so I'm not sure which model of the BPS it is. Anyhoo, the barrel was cut to 20" by someone my father lend it to. He doesn't remember why he did it really creates a problem because its a little less accurate and he cut off the choke threads, so the choke is fully open (I forget what that is called, open choke?).
QuestionS: 1. Should I even bother getting a new barrel or should I have some threads installed on the current barrel for choke tubes?
Although I am getting a new o/u shotgun in the near future, my dad still needs a shotgun to use when we will hunt together, so that is why I'm so concerned about fixing this one up.
