243 Win. will be my choice. If you use the lighter bullets you have minimmal, pelt damage.

Take a look at the Winchester Coyote, nice rifle, well balanced but a little bit heavy. After all it is a varmint rifle. Recoil will be close to nothing in a 243 and will handle wind better than lighter calibers.
