I don't own a Tikka rifle, but I've shot them many times, some friends of mine use them. And they are very happy with the quality & performance. As for polymer magazines, I've seen both polymer & steel mags. In cold weather they are easier to handle. You can judge the quality: its like the rest of the rifle. Absolutely perfect. And then this, magazines are the kind of part you might want to replace from time to time, granted, some are very durable, some are likely to wear out over time. I wouldn't worry about it, just get yourself some spare magazines. Easy way to carry ammunition in the field too.
As for quality, just think of Sako's reputation...they've never built something bad before and aren't likely to do so ever.
Kind regards,
Vesi

I have a Tikka T3 in 25-06. I know the magazine takes a little getting used to because it seems so light weight and it looks like plastic. BUT, it is actually very durable and made of a high tech polymer material that is quite strong. I have had absolutely no problems with mine thus far.

Best part about it is the Tiika magazine is within 10 dollars of a Sako detachable magazine which is the Rolls Royce of detachable magazines based on quality and materials used and no they are not made of polymer.

I have had a T3 .270 for about 10 years. Great rifle, however I currently have an issue with the ammo staying in the clip. every time I set the clip down 2 rounds pop out.
Have not had a jamming issue related to this, but I am going to try and find a new clip as I think mine is worn over time, but has not been used much for a 10 year old gun.
Only complaint with the gun is the clip.
