RE: Rem. 700 BDL accuracy ?

HAHAHAHAHA. 3" groups at 100 yrds. My .270 BDL is right out of the box. I shoot 150GR Remington Core-Lokts and i have never really grouped it but i know my groups are much better then that. I shot a muskrat at 175 yards and a crow at 140 no problem. I know i could get at least 1.5" at 100. It would be easy.

I have a 300 WinMag Remington BDL that is picky about its loads. The worst combination would produce near 3" groups @ 100, the best around 1". For a belted magnum cartridge MOA is pretty good. I agree with Mr. Longbeard, I now live in MD and have been around no other group of non-shooting **** talkers like this. Most do not shoot on a regular basis, know little and think they know it all. Careful not to step in the bull****! Mr. Longbeard, I was a USMC PMI at Lejeune. Went to Marine Corps Marksmanship Training Unit there in NC. Siemper Fi

Wow, I think I said it a tad more delicately. One thing I can say about MD, is deer hunting is the best i ever seen. I see 16 month old 8 pt., and success rate is like 90%. Thats unheard of where I have hunted and grew up. I have lived here on and off for 8 years, and would miss the deer if I left. USMC, check out the Managed hunting. And Fort Meade.

Sorry, guess I was a little gruff there. I am with you on the whitetail, not many places better than this. I live in the Northern part of the state and have my own hunting land, is it worth going to Ft. Meade (about 1 1/2 hour drive)? I am successful but no true monsters, I have only been managing my plot for two years now. A few nice bucks are comming around (nice 6 and 8 point typicals), large bodied, but still nothing Pope and Young would look at!

Nope, if you got your own piece, not even worth the hassle. I live in Westminster Area myself. Kent, Queen Annes, and Howard, and montgomery has been producing some real monsters lately. Especially Kent. The property I hunt in Dorchester used to, but for some reason turned off in the last two years.

I have a 700 ADL, in a .270 and I get nice tight groups as long as I am real proper about squeezing the trigger. I think it is too damn tight. I just posted on the Gun forum some questions about getting the trigger adjusted on this gun. I would guess that has some to do with your issue too. JMO.

I have a Rem Model 7 "youth" .260 for my boys and it had trigger work done. It shoots great tight groups.
