Bergara B-14 HMR
#1
About a week ago I got my 3rd rifle in the Bergara B-14 line up. I previously bought the B-14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor then the B-14 in 22 LR both of which shoot better than I can. My latest is another B-14 HMR in 300WM. I was going to get it in 7 PRC but being that I have a 6.5 I decided on the 300WM. I topped it off with a 20 MOA Pic rail and Athlon rings and Athlon Midas scope (6-24X50). BTW Europtic has these on sale for $400 down from $687 - at least they did.
I bought a box of Federal Fusion 180 gr ammo for it just to sight it in because I didn't have any dies or brass or even powder for it. (Factory ammo sucks!) Recoil was moderate but a couple days after the sight in my muzzle brake came in for it. That will calm the recoil down more. The rifle itself is top quality which I'm used to seeing from Bergara. It is heavy. Two pounds heavier than the 6.5CM. Not sure what the total weight of it is but the rifle alone is 9.5 lb. Add the rail, rings and scope and muzzle brake and a full mag of ammo and I would guess I'm getting close to and 11 lb rifle.
I don't mind it as its only going to be for banging steel and maybe if I can find a good outlook, some mountain to mountain hunting for deer and bear up my cabin.
My goal is 1000 yards but I'm heading to Florida with my wife on Thursday and once I get back in the spring I'll be practicing out to 600 initially.

I'm always wheelin & dealin Sportsman.
Yes Jake they do. If I'm ever in the market for another CF rifle it will either be a Bergara or Tikka. IMO nothing comes close to their quality in that price range.
I have a bunch of Savage Axis rifles that shoot great but those are my beater guns. The ones I keep in the truck for targets of opportunity.
