I forgot all about this, thread. I got a great deal on an encore in .243 Wiin. First time out with it after squeezing off a few rounds of Federal factory 100 gr loads I was able to shoot a couple 5 shot 1" and slightly larger groups with it. I loaded up some handloads but haven't shot them yet. Just too many irons in the fire right now.

I had an Encore Pistol about 12, maybe 15 years ago? Been a long time! I could convert it to Rifle, i had a Stainless Fluted 7MM Rem Mag Barrel for it, and in the Pistol end i went .500 S&W, Talk About KICK That thing was Violent! I also owned the S&W 500 Revolver in 8-3/8”, The Revolver was a Baby to Shoot compared to the Encore, The Revolver was a PUSH in the Carpal Tunnel of the Palm, that is the best I remember it. The Encore was BRUTAL in every way, that thing Recoiled up, Back, A little bit of Everything. The 7 Mag didn’t shoot worth a Darn, the ONLY 7Mag i ever owned that Didn’t? I blamed the Break Action and Sold the Whole outfit.
