Need to decide!! 11-87 or 48AL
So i was at my local used gun shop, Kittery Trading Post. I have been looking to get myself a 20g to hunt upland rather then my 12g. Also i'd like to have the wife able to use it, with that said, looking at something under $400 autoloader. This way if it's brought through brush no worries. She liked the feel of the 11-87 youth, but no good for me, didn't mind the full size 11-87 sportsman, she's smaller frame 5'9 105. The 48AL is about 90% condition with a fixed MC for 415. Good price? Any other suggestions? Any one have experience with the Franchi 48al?

I have a Franchi 48 al but it is an older one in 12ga. I also have a rem 1100. My opinion is the remington is a much better shotgun. Also the rem is gas operated and the franchi is recoil operated. So the rem should have less felt recoil

I agree with this. And if you can get the 11-87 for under $400 that's a great deal!

Remington also makes a lop adjustable kit to fit synthetic stock.

A new 1187 youth is $700 at basspro. A full size 1187 is $700 also.

Thanks for the input! After reading a little more and the input, I called and put the 11-87 on hold. Going to pick it up over the weekend. Probably order a stock soon after she gets comfortable. Not sure why i didn't consider just changing the stock for myself...lol

If it's a new 11/87 youth it should come with adjustable length of pull system. Midway has and standard lop stock for $60-76.
