if you are looking for a gold medal anshultz, feinwerkbau and grunig & elminger seem to take the cake time and time again.

if you are looking to win a cmp match or similar anshultz, walther, cooper and older kimbers can be had at a good price but can hold there own against the best.

if you just like the rest of us nothing really beats a 10/22 or its varients. they shoot out of the box much better then what some settle for. if you just pick the cheapest ammo or whatever is on the shelf they are minute of rabbit to a good distance. with proper ammo they are jaw dropping. my first 10/22 out of the box could easily empty a magazine of cci green tag into a quater sized group at 50 yards. my current 10/22 sporter puts 10 lapua polar match into about a penny sized group at 50 yards. i have been a firm believer that no 10/22 needs mods to be accurate.

Ruger also makes an excellent .22 pistol. I have a Mk III "Hunter" and I love it. Very accurate and reliable. Take down can be difficult the first few times but it does get easier.

10/22 for me. Stay 10-shot with factory clips. The aftermarket "hot lips" clips do not function properly in my experience.

Try the new Ruger BX25 mags, there is a world of difference between them and the other aftermarket "hi-crap" mags. It's been my experience that the BX25's like CCI ammo best or dead reliable cycling but still work well without them. As for best 22 I'm throwing my vote in for the 10/22 as well - my 10/22 takedown is a strong contender for the favorite of all of my guns.

I have been satisfied with my CZ452. They've been mostly discontinued for the new 455 model. My wife's 452 Scout will be my daughter's first rifle.

Don't hear much about it but my browning t-bolt is a shooter!!! And not hard to look at either...

Good trigger also...

It's gonna cost you though...

Have one of those too... Shoots awesome!!! But I like my t-bolt better for a hunting rig...

Tundar10 has it right. The Anshutz is the real deal. My dad has one and it will shoot a 5 shot 1 hole group at 50 yards off of a bench.

".....off of a bench." Don't hear that much when people are talking about their shooting; so I assume they mean they are shooting off/free hand.

Some of this guys must be good shots !?!? :hail:

Who is talking shooting abilities?? When you want too determine what an accurate gun is or isn`t I don`t believe that the majority of people shoot them offhand.
