Gentleman, I have a question for all you shooters out there, I am considering getting a Thompson Contender Venture in a 308 cal as a backup deer rifle this year, does anybody have any experiences they can share with me about these rifles?

Don't have any experience with the Venture but I do with the TC Icon. My Icon in 308 Winchester is amazingly accurate and a pleasure to shoot. The Venture uses the same barrel as the Icon and from what I have seen have good triggers. They are hard to beat for the money.
