Default New Toy acquired

Went in to the local gun shop on Wed just to accompany a friend who was buying primers. Some guy was just walking out after trading in some guns. I ended up buying one of his trade ins. A Taurus PT99 stainless steel with rail and two 17 rd mags.
I took it out yesterday afternoon at one of the local stripping pits. No bench or bags. Just a couple boxes of ammo the pistol and a screwdriver. Set up a target at 20 yds and shot a couple rounds. Hitting low right. made a couple sight adjustments and got it shooting the way I wanted. Someone must have had a party and left their bottles so I set some up on the bank from 20 -30 yds out. Too easy. The Taurus was blowing them apart with little difficulty. I did a little looking around for some more challenging targets and lined up some 12 ga empties along a log at approx 20 yds. I'm a decent shot with a pistol. Not real good, but good enough. But I was surprised how easily I was knocking those empties off the log. And without hitting the log. Just plucking them off one by one. Its a hell of a lot more accurate than my Glock. Or else it just fits my hand better. Next time out I plan on shooting it off a rest just to see how accurate it really is.
