M&P 15 .223 AR Rifle

Looking for opinions on this rifle. The price seems right but I know very little about AR's in general. Want one just to have, some plinking but not much else. Thoughts?

Don't spend a ton of money on one then; unless you want it to be accurate as well ! LoL

Are you saying the M&P is not an accurate rifle? I don't want to break the bank on one but I don't want a POS either, that's why I'm asking...

Camo,

Sorry, what I mean to say is; don't spend a lot of money on a gun that you are doing to be using for "...some plinking but not much else".

A M&P AR-15 should be more than fine for that kind of work (fun) !

If it's just for plinking, you could also take a look at the M&P15-22. With ammo prices going through the roof lately, my Colt AR was getting a bit expensive to shoot, so my two sons and I each bought 15-22's. Fun, accurate, and cheap cheap cheap to shoot...We always leave the range looking like this...:biggrin::biggrin: And, you can accessorize just like with the .223 version.

Like the previous post stated. But if you want a .223 and if the M&P is anything like its .22LR counterpart than it will be accurate, fun and reliable. I already owned a Stag Arms M-4 and snatched up a M&P-15 at my local gun shop. What a blast to shoot.

Get a Mossberg AR15-22 for plinking. there about 230.00 cheap ammo fun to shoot
