Yes, I'd say so. Looks legit. Not sure why though.

From everything I've heard, the ammo's legit. Not so sure the targets.

I'd be inclined to give credit to Hornady for capitalizing on the "zombie apocalypse" fantasy and maintaining a bit of humor coming up with this. I'd be hard pressed to believe that the bullets are any other than V-Maxes with yellow poly tips rather than red. The ammo probably works as well on coyotes as their other stuff does.

I'm just waiting for them to market hunting ammunition this way - you know, fancy commercials on TV, ads in magazines, ... Wait, they already do that, don't they? And people actually buy that stuff?

It's a bit of an industry joke that they are going with. They teamed up with the one of the gun shows to make a ZA scenario where they had a lot of fun.

It was done for Halloween this year.

The ammo is actually their CD line with green tips instead of their normal red ones.

Now what would be neat is for Hornady to "box" up and make available for purchase "Zombie Max" ammo as a markleting promo.

I might have to get me some of that to keep as a collectors item for the future.

I have had pretty good performance out of those loads on mid size zombies. A little to hot for the smaller ones. Most zombies I have encountered have been a little on the small, or skinny size. Rarely does it take a second round. No faster than they walk, you usually have plenty of time for up close shots, and that is where this round really shines.
