Default Taurus .380?

I am looking to get a ccw and was looking at the new Taurus .380. Does anyone have any experience with it yet?

I don't know anything about the Taurus. I suggest you check out the Ruger LCP before you go buy a Taurus. That little Ruger is a nice little gun.

I just hope you already have 380 ammo. I've been looking for months on line and sporting good stores. None to be found anywhere. I have some on backorder that's been on B/O for close to 3 months now and that's through a Police Supplier.I bought a LCP a few months ago and still haven't put the first round through it because I can't find any anywhere. Thanks Obama !

the lcp is a nice little pistol and i beleive i would rather have a ruger over a taurus but the red label and 10/22 may have given me the ruger bug. 380 ammo is about non existant in ohio if you can find it there is a 1-3 box limit.

At this point I'd be glad to even find one box.I even check the W*M's when I go by one. They laugh when I ask if they are getting any in. One guy was decent he looked it up on that hand held inventory gizmo. The warehouse had two cases but none was coming to any stores around my area. Once again Thanks Obama.

Well no experience with the Taurus but I have a Bersa Thunder in .380 for a few years and it has never malfunctioned and is easy to carry. It is almost a perfect copy of the Walther PPK without the price tag. I did the research on it before I bought it and just about every review rates this little pistol very highly.

Longbeardbuster,
I have a Taurus PT-99 in 9mm. When I bought I had shooting buddies turn their noses up at it. "Those things are made of pot metal", "Those things are Saturday Night Specials" and "That thing is going to explode in your hand". Well after its debut at the shooting range, my friends where taking a second look! When their pistols were jamming because their guns only liked certain ammo, I was firing shots as fast as I could pull the trigger! Hollow points, FMJ, light loads and heavy loads. this thing took it all.

Now as far as a .380 acp is concerned, I believe I would just move on up to the 9mm. Of course, their are many varibles to consider such as how much weight you would like to carry, how bulky would a larger gun be.......!?!?!?

Have fun and be safe!!!!
