Remember - Gas guns shoot softer and inertia guns shoot cleaner

Good luck with your decision !!!

The Benelli's are GREAT shotguns, if you have the money. I don't, so I bought the next best thing... a Stoeger 2000. Shoots everything from 1 1/8oz Winchester Universal economy target loads (the 4 box for $20 WalMart specials), to 3" 2oz Hevy-Shot magnum turkey loads very well, and cost less than $400 when I got mine. Same inertia system as the Super Black Eagle, only 3" instead of 3.5".

To answer original question: Benelli are greate guns. I might guess wrong but something tells me you are looking at BBE (1 or2) or M2, right...? Some say that BBE like A5 in old days- must have for waterfowl.... Personaly, I do not have one,but all my friends that I am hunting with love their Benellies. Pluses: ease to maintain/clean (less maintenance required comp to gas guns ), reliability in cold, wet weather, and ability of BBE reliably shoot 2 3/4 to 3.5in shells. Minuses:high price, might be rare but some people report "Benelli Click" - misfile due to vertical shot and not closed with authority action (older benellis), also I have seen reports on the web about trigger guard hitting fingers specially with magnum loads - again very few reports. and last- some people more sensitive to recoil and those w/o comfort tech might kick a little more. Now it all depend how much you can afford... Can I justify that benelli BBE2 is $400-$500 should be more than Beretta Extrema 2- 3.5in -NO (I've seen one in Dick's sporting goods few weeks ago for $1020 next to $1,560 BBE2) it 's matter what fits you better and what you want
