I just got an xl-7 in 270 win. What do youall think about a scope my rifle is realtree should I go realtree scope? Also I really like a nikon but have found a special with a burris fullfield 11 with the binoc. are these any good and how would the burris compare to the nikons

CTY - There is nothing wrong with either the NIkon or the Burris. I have Leupolds VX-II, Nikon Prostaff, and Burris Fullfield II scopes. I like them all. They all have good optics. I actually have 3 of the Burris Fullfield II scopes with the BDC reticle. And you will find that if you choose this one, the BDC works just as described for your .270 (which is also and excellent cartridge). You will not be sorry with that combination of scope and rifle/chambering.
As for a Realtree finish, that's totally up to you. I personally like a scope with a matte finish.

The Burris FFII is quite decent (for the $). The binocs will likely be crap, so I would not mess with them. Another (better) choice would be the Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9 X 40. It's right around $300 @ S.W.F.A. The Nikon Buckmaster, Primos and even Monarch are good. I'd take them over the Burris though.

In the $200 price range you are looking at you will not beat the Burris FF2.
The binos are just general purpose binos and nothign special. You won't be able to see late with them and they are not waterproof but if you like to attend sporting events and other things in the day time they will work great.

I see you already got one but for future people looking at this thread add me to the list of guys who have a Burris Fullfield II and own it. It's honestly my favorite scope I've used. Super clear and does well in low light. I really like it. I got mine for $200 on clearance with the Garmin eTrex GPS.

For anyone who is interested in a Bushnell Elite 4200, The Optic Zone has the 3-9x40 for $255.
