Doesn't everybody want to own a .270 (why WSM ?) at some point in their lifetime ? !!!

BTW - I am looking to get one of those X-bolts myself, but in.338 (Got one on order now).

Good luck with YOUR decision......

I'm a HUGE Browning fan! You'll never go wrong with either, but I simply prefer Brownings.

X-Bolt in 270, win. or wsm your choice. I have hunted E. Texas and you will be well suited with either.

I purchased an X-bolt in .270 win last month and have been very happy with it. It grouped great right out of the box and is smooth as can be. Even shot it at 300 yards on the range last week and it did well.

I own an x-bolt and the TC Venture (same barrel and bolt as Icon and cheap $440.00) it shoots circles around the X-bolt, it shoots 5 shot 3/4 inch groups with factory ammo. The Venture even shoots as good as my custom Heavy barrel Remington Sendero which scope and all set me back almost $2000.00. The Thompson is awesome.

Owning both, I give my vote to the Icon.
