RE: best quality made rifles
I can' t honestly remember but I think the .300 was up close to a grand and the .30' 06 was maybe around $800 but I could be way off on that. Maybe less than what I just qouted.
I' d check a few sites as advised already. |

RE: best quality made rifles
Dg-
Believe it or not that' s why I was drooling and kicking myself for not having the cash at the time. Also these guns were being sold on consignment for someone. So they set there price plus the sales comission. If I remember right one guy bought them and made no bones about reselling them for a profit. What are they going for now? |

RE: best quality made rifles
Thanks for the help everyone. I have been looking for the sauer rifle but I cannot find it. 340WBYMAG, I did not see one on the site you provided, but thank you. My suggestion to anyone who may be lucky enough to own one of these rifles is to hang on to it. One gun shop owner laughed at me when I told him what I was looking for. I did buy a 375 dakota rifle yesterday, very nice rifle. cannot wait to get aquainted with my new rifle. YOUR suggestions and opionions are well taken and fully appreciated. I know this is off the subject, but I have a question, I recently bought a 338 win mag in the sako 75 [new] and noticed the accuracy was starting to fade. 362 rounds has been fired through it. upon inspection I found that the barrel has a slight swell about 2.5 inches from the muzzle. WHAT HAPPENED. I have been shooting factory ammo through it 225gr and 250gr. Thanks DAKOTA.

RE: best quality made rifles
Check out Sako, Tikka, and CZ.

RE: best quality made rifles
I' d have to agree with those who list Sako and Tikka at the top of their lists for quality, accuracy out of the box and especially with the Tikkas, affordability.

I have had 2 Sako 7mm deluxe rifles. They are top of the line and will take down any animal in North America. I now have a 7mm Weatherly and prefer it as it's accuracy is unmatched. Sako is very close. As for a 338 that's enough to destroy Your quarry. Tika is made by Beretta and so is Sako.

I have had a pile of Weatherbys, and really like them. Smooth feeding, accurate, and lots of horsepower. Check them out. Their warranty is eternal. Needed parts for a 20+ year old deluxe, all that it took was a phone call. The parts were in the mail, no charge. Ruger is also a viable option.
