Avoid!!!
Purchased a octagonal barrel pump 22 from Henry. Pump slide was binding - not cut out properly, screws MISSING, receiver made of cheap cast alloy with powder coating over the top and a trigger guard made out of molded plastic!!!
Spoke directly with Anthony Imperato, who seemed helpful. He offered to send a free rifle to make up for the inconvenience. Very generous offer that was not expected..... but after 3 months nothing ever came of it. Henry = poorly manufactured disposable rifles with a customer service system that consists of promising the world and delivering sweet FA. Not surprisingly, my SSAA coleagues have a very low opinion of Henry Repating Arms also. ...and if you get to read this Anthony, I have a little free customer service advice for you - "MAKE a promise, KEEP a promise." |
Good name----Junk Rifle!!!

Inspect before buying
Here's my experience. Bought a 22LR lever. Looks nice. I should have inspected it more closely before taking from the dealer. Problems: 1) rear sight elevation ramp missing (called Henry they are sending a replacement) 2) scratch on receiver that someone had covered with bluing stain 3) forearm loose. I tightened the barrel band but it is plastic and I am afraid to tighten it more. I have contacted Henry about these problems, we will see what they do. I called them and got answering machine, no return call. I emailed. The rifle shoots OK, and it is cheaper than Marlin etc but it wasn't free...there should be some quality control.
