I use to use a Mossberg 12 Ga. Tropy Slugster with cantilever barrel, now use a 11/87 SP 12 Ga.with cantilever barrel have a Leupold VXIII 3.5x10 and it works great. I did have trigger reworked on it and I use Rem. Core-Lokt Ultra Slugs. I did just get my grandson a H&R 20 Ga. Ultra Slug youth model for Christmas, Sure hope it works fine in 2009.

I'm gonna be a minority here but I shoot a Browning A-bolt slug gun. Caught it the year the quit making them and I get ragged one holers at 100 yards and have killed deer out to 150 with it hitting it dead nuts where I wanted the slug to go.
back up gun is a NEF 20 guage rifled single shot. Not the bull barrel. It shoots very well too

Remington 870. Fully rifled barrel (21 inch). Drilled & Tapped recently for a scope. Weaver Scope rings, Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32. 100 yards I am getting a 5 inch group.

11-87 with rifled barrel, open sights. Couldn't believe how hard it was to find iron sighted barrel for a common shotgun anymore!! Shoots great, no blow-back issues with heavy recoiling slugs like I had with several pumps. If I am shooting far enough to need a scope, I take my muzzleloader anyways.

Open sights are great are great for those blessed with good eye sight. As for me I need all the help I can get "Leupold".
