Another vote for the H&R 20 gauge. But as jaybez101099 above is saying, my transfer bar failed on mine once and had to be replaced but has worked since then. Killeda 10 pointer at 60-75yards with a Lightfield slug this year

Slug of choice of my miss fires is the SST's.
Gonna try Tucco's rem oil problem and super clean the gun.
Just bought it this past summer so i know i never use rem oil though.

Well, I finall got the 930 to the range. Bang Bang Bang! No problems and the Hastings Laser shot great to 100 yards. The Winchester foster's shot to a lower poi, but tumbled at 100 yards. Funny thing is they shot well at 50. No sign they were going to tumble at 100.

The 870, 1100 or 11-87 in 20 gauge are sweet shooting guns. Skip the cantilever and have it drilled and tapped for a scope mount, you will be much happier in the long run.
Thank you Bowflex, I would much rather do this if I can because I would also like to keep the rifle sights as backup. You da man!

Hi new here. Been lurking and decided to sign up. I have no heard of any shooting Ithica. I have the Deer slayer II full rifle with a Leapold 3x9x40 on top. Best money ever spent. The old 870 is for bird hunting now.

I shoot an Ithaca Deer Slayer. I agree on the best money spent... I have a Weaver 3-9x50mm on mine.

I want to get my hands on a DeerSlayerIII.

It could be just me, but the picture of that doe from the top of this thread looks a bit odd.
