Fondled several today. Waiting for the stainless stalker to come out, should be soon, saw the synthetic/blue model today. Do not like the dull finish on the wood models, but did like the gloss finish.

Finally got my new x-bolt today in 7mm rem. mag from academy sports. This is by far the best feeling rifle I have ever laid hands on. I love it. Haven't shot it yet, waiting on scope bases. Can't wait.

Was told today that the stainless stalker x bolt will not be out anytime soon. (A bolts are making a comeback though). I am drooling over the sako Finnlight stainless now and may pull the trigger. $1495 for the sako, but looks like a great rifle.

You have a right to be excited! I recently purchased one (xbolt hunter) in .270 win and mounted a zeiss conquest 3-9x40 on it. Took it out last weekend and after lots of cleaning between shots/groups I feel really good! I only took one sample 3 shot group back with me for some Hornady 130gr SST which measured .6" CTC of the furthest shots. I really feel if I had waited the same length of time for the 3rd shot as the first two it would've been an even tighter group but wanted to see how far off she'd be if I shot the 3rd right after the 2nd. Here is the sample I retrieved:

I have handled them a bit and if i get a new gun it will be an xbolt. I liked the new style but can see where others wouldn't. The action was slick and it would make a great gun at a decent price.

Haven't handled it but just looking at it online, it does not look like it is worth the amount that they want for it. Do yourself a favor and get the Remington XCR.
