Im thinking about buy a H&R ultra varmit .243 with bull barrel (something cheap) any info on this gun.

Had that gun for 7 years. Traded it off last fall for a lever action I could hunt with in indiana. Regretted it ever since. Put a good scope on it and she'll never let ya down. Mine never failed me. 243 is a pretty good varmit and deer rifle.

My bud's did .75" @ 100yds with 58gr VMax's @3600fps. Not bad for a $200 gun.

what kind of scope would you put on it im going to be using it for varmit/deer hunting and shooting from 20-about 300 yards i thought about a 3-9x50 bushnell sportview
