Default Rem.BDL SS 280

Got a chance to go to the range this morning,to try out my new 280,I got it at the end of hunting season, put a scope on it ,reduced the trigger pull to 23/4 lbs.loaded 8 rounds, went to range took 3 to sight in at 100.next 5 were touching, thought that was very good and I was going to have a shooter right out of the box.
Loaded up 3 rounds each of different powder and loads.with BT 140 gr.,BT silvertips, and Hornady sst 139" s.Allready knew what it would do at 100 yds so I shot the 200 yds today.
This is the best groups(3-shot) I got with different powders:
IMR4350-57grs-1.554 with SST' s
Imr4831-57grs-3.168 with BT' s
R-22-59grs-2.739 with SST' s
H4831-59c grs.-0.495. with SST' s
The combined technology bullets came in last with all powders.

You think I did get a shooter ???
Next time going to load up several with the H4831 and see what they do at 100 and 300 yds.

Took my ruger in 260 ,with 120 gr bullets BT to see what it would do with them, smallest group I got with it was 0.386

Yes it appears you are one of the lucky ones.
I have the same rifle and it is a shooter as well.
I have my best luck with H4831 and RL22.
Try the regular Hornady 139gr interlock bt also. They give me some of my best groups.
Nothing like walking down and seeing that the first groups out of that new rifle are tight!
