I own a Remington 270 WSM I have always shot Remington core loc but today I went to the range to site my 270 because I put new rings on it. I talked to one of the worker there and he swears the the best round out in the market place for deer and elk is the Win XPS super elite. So I ask all of you what do you think of the shell I hunt elk &deer in Montana and antelope's in Wyoming some300 yard shots some even more some 50 yardsSo ask for help with any knowledge on the ammo. I looked them up and they are not cheapthis is true.

It depends on your rifle likes them or not. (far as getting good groups with them). I just can't justify that kind of money an find out that they do not shoot good in my rifle. The people that tried them out in their rifles and grouped for them seemed to like them.

Hey xcr
we talked about my 270 before i believe anyway i received my rifle back from Remington the put the new mag box like we talked and it is smooth but they did something to me scope mount or because of taking the scope on and off could get it to sight right so took it back put new ring and mounts and i take to the range and it was busy yesterday my brother in law bought the same gun and they gave him a box of fusions and i had a half box of rem cor loc. He shoot the whole box and could not get it to sight in as soon as I gave him my rem he had a 1/2 inch group so I know aboutdifferent ammo shooting dif. But what i have read about these and they have some knock down power scored 4.5 in cabela's with some great reviews i think I'm going to fork out the $$ and give them a try hell they are only$8 more then the Remington's

It is one of the best hunting bullets made period but not needed for anything but very large game. I have always had good results with them in their former self which was the failsafe bullet. All it ihas is a new tip and they changed the retainer on the rear core. I would look at the TSX as well in a 270 WSM or the new tipped TSX if you buy Federal ammo.

Let me answer your question This is the second year shooting a 270wsm I have hadthe same30-06 39 years that has harvested deer and elk coyote's in California andOregonlast year I gave mynephew my 30-06 and bought this gun. a I was lucky enough to draw tags in Montana for Elk and Deer don't know if you havebeen there but there are some long shots so I want to try different ammo to see how the gun and the ammo performs. Last year the 130 grain Cor loc drooped a average my 3X3 deer at 180 yard so I know what it can do I want to see what xps groups will be at 250-300 yards
