Default reasonable, practicle 9mm

looking to buy my first newpistol but don't want to break the bank... looking to spend 400-600

i shot a few pistols yesterday and really likedthe 9mm so what is relatively good 9mm for the money... should i buy a better one used or a lower level one new??? any help is appreciated

oh.. it will be used for range shooting and self defense purposes(occasionally carried/concealed/legally.)

Check out Taurus. Lot of gun and your $400 should just about do it.

I have 2 Taurus' both good guns I carry the one cocealed it shoots good and functions well.

I agree for the most part with the list in the previous post.

My favorite is the CZ-75 followed by the Beretta 92. The Taurus PT92 is about $100 cheaper than the beretta and is one fo the few Taurus models that I would trust.

I have a FEG it's a Hungarian Hi-Power clone .Well actually I believe they are cut out on Hi Power tooling . Any way I like it ,its proved reliable and not really picky about ammo , ball HPs and cast from 115-147 and lil'bitty groups .

I like the Beretta 92f. Shop around and you will find one in your price range.
