What do you guys think of the 7600 remington?

I have never had problem with any 760 or 7600I have owned. May not be bolt accurate but MOD were never a problem either;). I still own one today (the first new gun I bought a 7600rem in .270win). It'smint and will stay that way till I pass it down just like the 30/30 my dad gave me.Both of these rifle see the range every year but neither see real action as they are memories for me and hopefully future generations.

I got a hand-me-down when my grandfather passed. Its a MUCH older 760 in 30/06. He had one of his buddies work up a handload for it, and it shoots very very well, despite having a poor trigger by my standards (most of them do.. infact, I've never seen one that didn't). Wish I knew what that handload was... I have a few boxes left though. The gun is definately a good one.

The 760/7600 are great guns. Plenty accurate for anything you will hunt with it for.

I have a 7600 .270win and its more accurate then my 270 700bdl. lol go figure? Anyway never had a problem with mine and recoil is far less than a bolt due to when you shoot the slide will actually dissengauge itself and start reward for you. similar to the winchester speed pump shotgun. You can lighten the trigger by just tapping out the trigger group and compressing the spring that sits on top of the group with some pliers. If you squeeze it too much it wont push the trigger back out and the safety will not engauge fully just stretch the spring a little until it pushes the trigger out. just have to play with it a little. It won't shorten the pull but it will lighten it substantally. Also same procedure for 870,1100,11-87 slug guns!

I have a 7600 in 35 whelen. It shoulders fast just like the 870 it was madeafter. There are some changes but its still a quick pointing gun. Second it has a free floated barrel its very accurate with the 870 trigger its weakest point. Its made to be a woods rifle but can handle 300 yrds easy, some can rivel the average bolt for accuracy. I'd expect1.0-1.5 inch groups with the right ammo.

Remington 7600s are excellent rifles, very under rated and much better in my opinion than the semi-auto 7400s.

The 7600 is MUCH morereliable than the semi-auto 7400, is fast handling and offers quick follow up shots if needed.

I like Remington 7600s!

My step dad had one in a 30-06 and it was one of the hardest kicking guns I have ever shot, wors than turkey loads in a single shot H&R! I had a 30-06 Savage 110E and it handled recoil much better.

Other than that it was a really nice gun, handled well and was really pretty.

So whats the truth? Huge kick or light kick? im interested in getting one, any one selling one?
