last year was good to me at work so i treated my self and got one in 06 topped with a swaro. aline 3-9 in tally rings then "tuned by a smithy. man i love this thing!!!!!!!! dream to carry on ten day hunts in the mountains. my bud has a savage 300 win mag lam.stock and hes CRYING after the 2nd day---he keeps tying to walk off with mine!
dont know if the weight/recoil will bother you but that an individual thing anyway. god luck on your decision

If you have a gunsmith rebarrel the titanium it may cost slightly more but you will have a premium barrel and the lugs can be lapped and the action trued at the same time.The end result will be a better rifle that will probably be more accurate.
