I have a mossberg 935 just put a slug barrel on it shoots slugs just fine

My nephew has the 835 and shoots slugs out if all the time. Actually, he killed his first deer with it last year.
If you doubt anyone on this board, call Mossberg and find out about the 835! "Do Not Fire Slugs or Sabots from 835 field barrels". Barrels are back bored!!!!!

I have the 835 Combo.....Field &Rifled barrels....

You can shoot slugs out of it just fine. And as a matter of fact most of my smoothbores actually shoot more accurate with a modified choke instead of a IC, doesn't hurt to try both though.

The 835 is the 3.5 you can not shoot slugs out of because it has a larger barrel to improve patterns supposedly. But a remington 3.5 will shoot 2 3/4 to 3.5 inch shells just fine. I have a buddy that has a special purpose turkey gun and it will shoot anything we put in it. He actually uses a rifle barrel on it to deer hunt with.
