I shot the 7mm yesterday and my first shot was dead on and the other 2 were right there next to it... I could cover the group with a dime(3 shot)

My 30-06 seems to put the first shot high and to the left... Then the next 3 or 4 rounds are on target... If I hunt with my 06 I will definetly take a fouling shot before entering the woods;)

Thats a good thing long. My abolt don't exactly hit same POI. I believe I need to rebed. My first shot is always 1" high and 2" to the right. It actually sighted in that way. Beforea hunt, I will go to the range for one shot and only one shot for a few days.

I had a 300RUM BDL that would be way off on cold bore oily shot. It caused me to hit over the back of a moose at 400 yards. I mean it could have been me. Who knows, but from now on, before a big hunt where 400 yard shots are possible, I make sure I shoot cold bore and clean every day or leave it fouled and cold bore sight.

One of the best shooting rifles I ever owned was a Boss equipped A Bolt 30/06. Owned it back when they didn't have the standard recoil model... just the muzzle break. Did perminant hearing damage to me, and I just cannot get over hunting deer with earplugs... sold the gun and the next year the standard BOSS CR hits the market... I'm still ticked about that.

So my advice if you have the muzzle break.... ear plugs... and ear muffs... and maybe a motorcyle helmet.

I like the BOSS system. A friend of mine wanted me to sight in his 30-06 win Mod 70 with the BOSS Brake. I was astounded by how well that thing shot.[8D]

Mr. Longbeard: You pretty much have to roll your own to really see what the 7RM can do. Factory ammo has been very lethargic in my experience. Plus it's a hobby of it's own and a ton of fun!!!! Brett
