Not a dang thing wrong with a 721......have a 300 and a 06 in the short run 725. Both shoot great.Wouldn't part with either.

Doe Dumper. I guess I am getting to old or have to many guns.(My wife says BOTH) After a question from another member, I dug mine out and of course its a 722 and not a 721. I have seen quite a few of these 722 rifles with cracked stocks right behind the trigger guard. I don't know if its a coincidence or if that was a week point.

I've got a 721 action that was originally a .270, rebarreled with Montana Rifle barrel in 6mm-06 with a Boyds JRS Laminated stock. Good shooter and strong action.

i have a 721 in a 270 .i have replaced the original stock with a stock from boyds in pepper laminent.only problem i have with the gun now is when i got the gun it did not have a saftey.which i am in the process of trying to find.the only other problem i have been told about is a weak extactor but cant confirm this from any of the gunsmiths i know.the gun is an excellent shooter.

Have you checked with Numrich Arms Corp.? They handle all sorts of gun parts and pieces. I can't remember, but I think the operating pieces of the safe are basically the same as the 700 series rifles, with the top thumb lever being a little different... I'd have to go and tear one of each apart to check, but I think I'm correct.
