If you're looking into pistols, I've been hearing great things about the Springfield Armory XD-9, XD-40, and XD-45's.

I have seen a Ruger #3 in 45-70 in the last 2 couple of days, but I can't remember where.

I found the Ruger #3 in 45-70!!! It is on Accurate Reloading message board on page 3 of the classifieds.

Thanks for the input guys. But I found my new toy and going to be ordering it tomorrow. A rifle that always intrigued me and acartridgethat Ioften thought about and an unbeatable $. Its a Ruger #1 Tropical, stainless/laminate in .405 Winchester.

I have to load up some 45/70,s& sometime get out there( informal setting)& do some shooting-hot dry & dusty out there tho.. ( procrastanating) ( there are free cow pies
