I don't think you could shoot "2 3/4 if your gun was "3 1/2 chamber, but, like you said, yours is a "3.
If your gun is labeled 3", you can shoot any ammo up to and including 3" shells. If your gun is labeled 3 1/2", you can shoot any ammo up to and including 3 1/2" shells.

Not if it's an auto-loader.

Do you own a 3 1/2" autoloading shotgun?

I have a Benelli Super Black Eagle that will shoot 2 3/4, 3, or 3 1/2" shells.

No, but my friend has one, and it's a Mossberg 935, and he said when he go it the instuction manual said not to put 2 3/4 in the chamber, only 3" and 3 1/2.

It was a Turkey/Waterfowl version, all camoed.

Yet another reason to buy a Benelli over a Mossberg.

I couldn't resist and had to look up the Mossberg 935 Magnum. It does only take 3 and 3 1/2" shells, but it sure seems like a limited use shotgun. I guess if you ONLY wanted to duck and turkey hunt it would be fine. I will stick to my Benelli.
