Holy mackerel you young guys (excluding NoMercy) must have been doing too mush of something to have such bad eyesight! (My dad told me I would go blind)
I've taken whitetails at 75 yards using nothing but the side of a tree and my off hand for a rest with my 8 3/8" barreled S&W 29 and open sights. But that revolver has a beautiful trigger. It's an older one with the recessed cylinders that I got almost 50 years ago.
I had a T/C contender in 7-30 Waters with a Burris 2-7 scope that has taken groundhogs with up to 150 yards shooting from prone and sandbags.

Thank goodness for contact lenses, 'cuz without them, I can barely see well enough to keep going blind!

I CAN shoot irons and low mags, but I sure don't like to most of the time. Practicing Bullseye keeps me in check; about the time I'm thinking I need more scope on one of my long range pistols, I shoot a few practice 900's and remember what hold control is really about. I do like having rifle scopes on a few of my handguns, however.

Nice of you to "fess up" NoMercy but I didn't include you in that group with the other young'ins.
I miss that Contender. And at my age carrying a revolver or pistol for hunting would be a lot easier. Now you all have me thinking of getting something like a 35 Rem or 375 JDJ for deer and black bear!
