RE: Thompson Encore rifle opinions?

Try TC's custom shop, Fox Ridge Outfitters, they can make just about any barrel you want. 6" barrel .458? Yup, that to.

RE: Thompson Encore rifle opinions?

in the past i have owned a 22-250 ,7 mag,708 rifle barrels . the 22-250
was spot on, the 7 mag was OK but not as good as i would like ,
the 7-08 was very poor .
i now have a 300 mag ,its spot on . fox ridge 7.62X39, way better that i expected. 209-50 very happy with it, now.
hand guns barrels
223 ,7.62X39, 7-30 waters, 375 JDJ, 444 marlin, all very good shooters.
the one thing that i have found is that the rimed calibers are a lot easer
to work with, open the gun and the spent round falls out.
if i were to get a different barrel in a rifle, it would have to be some thing with a rimmed case ,my choice ,a 375 JDJ for big critters ,307 for deer .
