Default Magnum autoloader rifles vs remington 750 in 35 Whelen

Why is there such a big push for mag autoladers. Looking at the performance of the 300 win mag, and the 338 win mag, the remington 750 in 35 whelen beats them hands down in killing power, so why is everybody pushing remington to develop 300 win mag for the 7400 and 750.

Perhaps in your opinion.Obviously most people don't agree or the 35 whelen would be much more popular.

as much as I'm a.35 fan, a whelan doesn't have more killing power than a .300 and especially a .338.

So what is the KE of the 300 and 338. The 35 launches a 225 grain bullet at 2700 fps, the 300 doesn't have a 225, the 338 does but at 2800 fps. So the 338 is100 fps more speed but .020 less diameter, think the 35 still comes out atop them in KE if you looked. Lets see the BC of the 338 is .386 and 35 is .359, at 300 yards less than 1 inch difference. 400 yards less than 3 inch difference. How about 500 yards, less than 6 inchs of difference between the 35 whelen and 338 mag. So at 500 yards a larger diameter bullet only drops 6 inches more, question is does the 338 with it's 125 fps more velocity at 500 yardshave enough to expand .020 more than a 35 whelen to even match performance of the 35 whelen? So does 125 fps moremakethe 338 a better round despite being a smaller bullet?

Both the 300win mag and 338win magproduce considerably more energy than the 35 whelen as shown in the link posted in the above post.
