RE: Accuracy Question

Except lighter bullets shed velocity faster than heavier ones do;). So even though they start out faster they slow down faster as well.

RE: Accuracy Question

Heavier bullets for caliber will retain more energy, giving them the ability to be shot further with less velocity.:D

Just running some calculationswith the 140gr accubond and 160gr accubond in the 7mmremmag at max loads according to the nosler manualshows that at all distances to500 yards the wind drift for both is equal. Therefore at hunting distances, the extra velocity produced by the lighter bullet makes up for the slightly higher ballistic coefficient of the heavier bullet.

So how does that effect accuracy?:D

As for the distance that a bulletcan be fired, all highpowered rounds can fire a bulletfor miles,so does it really matter if one travels a little bit farther?:D

RE: Accuracy Question

It doesnt, only P.O.I. :DAccuracy depends on the type of bullet your rifle likes and the consistancy of each load used. right? ;)

RE: Accuracy Question

You are correct Stubble, I was getting carried away. I was talking like 1000 meter stuff. I would consider 500 yards a LOOONG shot for hunting actually.
