Yes they have. Those boys are gone now. I would support them all they way. However the Model 29 need some beefing up before I would buy one for a bunch of heavy duty shooting.

i got two mod 29's.. the longer is 6''.. with alota practice i might could go 50 yards with open sights (its a 29-2) no way im scopin it.

if i were gonna get a new 44 for huntin id get a ruger bisleyblackhawk hunter or super redhawk cuz the scope mounting is half done right outta the box and they'll take a steady diet a hot&heavy forever (within safe limits). after i scoped it id still stay within 100 yrds cuz i just ain't that great of a shot. but thats just me.
