Default mod 700 short

Hello I have the model 700 short action in 308, my question is what calibers will this accept if I change the barell, I'm looking to set it up for coyotes. I was thinking maybe just using light 308 loads, but it would be neat to have 2 guns in one.

The 243 would be a good chambering that simply requires a rebarrel.

I have a 700 BDL in short action, .223. You can also get it in .222, and, I think, 22-250 if I am reading my lengths right. I'd let range and wind dictate caliber, barring other parameters.

You can go to any short action cartridge with the similar cartridgehead size. The .223 requires difference bolt face dimensions. You should be okay with the 22-250.

You can re-barrel this rifle to .22 Rem BR, 22-250, 220 Swift, 243, 6mm Rem, 6MM-284 , 260 Rem, or 7MM-08 with no modifications to the bolt, magazine box, or follower. Basically anything with a .473 case head and a maximum COL of 2.800.

Before CoyoteStalker tells you, I must say you already have a good yote caliber. With correct bullets your already good to go.

ok thats what I thought but I wasn't sure I didn't want to shoot a yote and have it fall to pieces . So I asked in another topic but no one gave me a suitable answer so I'll ask in this topic,,, would the remington mr rounds work the best in the 308 for yote I don't have any reloading stuff so I figured I would pick up a box of the mr's.
I've read that these are most affective in the 100 or so yard range and most yote kills are within this so... the only other bullets I can find are 150gr. and I can't see shooting a yote with that big of a bullet. I also want to thank everyone for the help, so thanks.
