By the way, some of you mention not using any solvent or oil on the boresnake. I don't know about you, but I don't want any powder residue, moisture, or any 'gunk' other than a coat of oil residing in my rifling for the period of time my gun sits stashed away. I always run a clean patch soaked in Hoppes oil through after cleaning, be it with a boresnake or brush & solvent. Just my opinion --

That why I use mine for a quick clean at the range. My Dewey rod, patches, solvents and oil are used for the final clean when it’s time for storage...;)

There great! But I clean mine with soap and water after a couple pulls through.
