Hey guys,

I really need some of yalls professional help!!!! I ws thinkin of gettin a Thompson Center 290x50 Encore Muzzleloader for deer, have any of you heard any thing good or bad about this gun? if so TELL ME PLEASE!!! thanks-Bassasin87

T. C. Encore is a good choice , you can change it out to hunt differnt animals. Its a well made weapon , I would say go for it, dont think you can go wrong with it.

I really love my Knight, but I didn't want to spend a lot when I bought it. The encore just from the way they are designed are probably very fine guns, and the ease of cleaning is another strongpoint. I have heard nothing but good stuff about them.

I know a guy who has one, and I held it once. It may have been the nicest gun I ever held. It sat so nice in my hand I almost couldn't let it go. The balance and weight was incredible. I could raise it to my shoulder so nice and it seated perfectly. If all of the barrels feel the same as the muzzle loader barrel I will definitely get one. Pick one up and see how it fits in your hand.

However it is not cheap, and I will not be buying one this year.
