slick....thanks for the link.....you just knew it was going to happen.....I'm surprised they don't send the photo for you as well......
I think this is the wave of the future of binos.....
Next thing will be a recoil activated camera in the rifle scope so you can see the impact......and have a permanent record of it.
Any bets?

Most of the ones I have seen are cheap. They don't really make decent binculors or cameras. Too much of a comprimise in either direction. You might be able to find some that are decent, but they will be VERY expensive. Consider that decent binocs are 200 bucks or more and a decent camera that or more. I can't imagine combining the two in a small package would be cheaper.

I have played with a couple and was just not that impressed. This was a few years ago, so maybe the technology has gotten better. Most of the ones I have seen worked, just not that well. About like taking a 50 dollar pair of tascos and combining it with a cheap low resolution digital camera. Think of some compact binocs from walmart with a webcam mounted on top of it
I guess it would really depend on what you were looking for out of it. I think to be of any real use by the time you combined the two it would cost close to a grand if you wanted it to be decent quality. I will look into it some more on the net and see if the specs have gotten better or not.
If you want pics to print out you need close 3.2 megapixal pictures. The ones I looked at before would only take pics that were in the 800x600 range.
Well I looked a bit more at some of them and they look to be better than the few I have seen before. Some of the more expensive ones actually look sort of promising. I would have to actually see one in person to be sure though. Now way I would order one with out looking at it or playing with it. I bought a Moustec (or something like that) digital camera that looked great on tv and it was a POS when I got it. I sent it back and went and bought a more expensive camera at a chain store instead.
If I have time I might look on some photography sites or maybe a bird site and see if anyone has tried them and reviewed them.
I always wanted a pair of binocs with a range finder in the them, but all them that I have seen were too much for me to spend.
