Seams to me remington has been putting out some junk for the last few years. Id look elsewhere . Tika ,CZ , Savage , or Winchester , would all get a look before remington . Their older firearms are great , but for about the last 10 years they have been putting out junk . My Oppinion .

I picked up the M700 CDL and it felt weak and cheap. I'm looking at the Weatherby Vanguard Sporter (new for '05).

jd, try a few different bullet manufactures in the grain weight you like. There is quite a big difference in factory loads and by sampling a few different brands I'm sure you will find one that your rifle likes.

Well my 700 XCR shot pretty good. Fed prem 180gr Nosler Accubonds... 5 shot at right about 1"... I'm hopeing handloads shoot a little better
